September Favourites

Autumn has arrived...

Late September means the start of autumn, the most comforting season for desserts. The Apple Blue Patisserie brought back their popular pumpkin loaf and Jolene launched the softest apple-filled sponge, but if you want something non-seasonal, there’s a dark fudgy chocolate cake that will definitely hit the spot.

Pumpkin sponge with a heavy mix of chai tea spices – ginger, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon – dark chocolate chips and flakes of milk chocolate on top, it’s earthy and wonderfully warming, tender but perfectly soft.

mont blanc - Wa Café London

Puff pastry layered with sponge, vanilla pastry cream, whipped cream, a whole candied chestnut in the centre and strings of sweet, nutty, chestnut purée around the outside.
