Counting ten cafés and restaurants across London, The Daisy Green collection has become a staple for Australian-style brunch and perfectly crafted flat whites. Each location has their own unique design and feel, from a quirky canal boat outside Paddington Station (Darcie & May Green) to a small and colourful spot in Soho (Scarlett Green) and the ever-so upscale-looking, light-filled space in Victoria (Timmy Green).
Menus vary slightly per location, but you’ll always find imaginative takes on breakfast staples. That means your avocado smash comes on charcoal bread with a lovingly soft spread of labneh, French toasts gets a tropical twist with coconut flakes and mango, and Daisy Green’s bacon butty is nothing like your usual, easy-to-hold sandwich.
Dubbed as the fancy bacon roll, it’s a huge plate of paratha roti (a type of Indian flat bread) with poached eggs, crispy onions, chillis, bacon (obviously) and “holy f*ck” hollandaise – names are definitely on point here.
No brunch is complete without something sweet (try buttermilk pancakes infused with blueberries, or their award-winning banana bread sandwich), just like you can’t experience an Aussie-style feast without fritters. Besides the traditional corn creation, Daisy Green offers a beautiful baked aubergine fritter covered in a crispy layer, corn salsa, poached eggs (or scrambled tofu), finished off with a drizzle of kimchi ketchup for spice. This might just be my favourite fritter in London.
