Steaming-hot espresso poured over cold vanilla soft serve, an Affogato is a powerful blend of contrasts and London does the Italian coffee dessert in style. A swirl of silky-smooth soft serve mixed with gingerbread cookie crumbs, thick sauces, salty-sweet ingredients and a dutiful drenching of that powerful shot, these London affogatos are packed with caffeine and flavour…
Oh Snap: Soft Serve Society
Oh Snap! It’s the vanilla affogato at Soft Serve Society – the place with charcoal soft serves, black cones and cotton-candy topped cups. The shop’s signature vanilla soft serve combined with a generous coating of gingerbread crumbs, salted caramel sauce, salted caramel bits, espresso and a waffle to finish – this ice-cold affogato is packed with as much caffeine as comforting mix-ins. It’s cold and warming at once.

The Crème affogato: Crème
Malt ice cream that tastes like cereal milk – the last bit of milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl – with a double shot of espresso and cookie crumbles, this really is the crème de la crème. A thick swirl swims in coffee, then the chocolate chip cookie chunks become all soft and soggy, and you’re left wondering why there isn’t any more. I kid you not this tastes like Christina Tosi is in the kitchen.

Chocolate affogato: The Gentlemen Barista’s
Available at the Gentlemen Barista’s pop-up in Covent Garden, the coffee shop embraces top-quality ingredients to serve an Italian-approved affogato rich with caffeine, cream and cacao. Sprinkled with chopped hazelnuts, a refreshingly high swirl of silky-smooth Estate Dairy Milk soft serve drenched in the Gentlemen Barista’s very own espresso blend, it’s all mixed with Pump Street chocolate ganache for an extra rich, gooey finish.
