Like most of my indulgent treats, I discover them online first. Polaberry is the brainchild of content creator Polina Burashnikova, who goes by the name polabur on Instagram. With thousands of stunning shots of her travels and even more followers, this Russian-gone-Dutchie has now combined her creativity with chocolate.

The result is beautiful bouquets bedazzled with chocolate covered fruits and edible gold dust, chocolate bars popping with canal houses (an ode to Amsterdam), and boxes filled with impeccably decorated strawberries. Yes, these treats are picture perfect, but they are delicious too.
You can browse Polaberry’s Instagram and send her a message with your treat of choice, or simply stop by her store along the city’s pretty Prinsengracht. That’s where you’ll always find a selection of strawberries, covered in everything from dark to white chocolate to traditional Dutch delicacies like mini stroopwaffles.
With my massive sweet tooth, I chose the white chocolate-covered strawberries, topped with little bits of dried raspberries. The strawberries were extremely fresh and juicy, counterbalancing its sweet and dreamy white chocolate coat, which was definitely top quality (not like the cheap artificial stuff).
Of course, I came back for more; something to do with a box of baby unicorns. Crowned with a marshmallow-like horn and crunchy pearls, it’s the cutest thing you’ll ever eat.
