April Favourites

brioche con gelato - duci london
The best things I ate this month...

From a warm, buttery croissant served from a canal boat to super rich cakes, these are guaranteed to hit the spot.

Almond croissant: The Floating Boulangerie

Classic French croissant filled with creamy, custardy frangipane – still warm from the oven, oozing straight out – and thinly sliced almonds on top. The Floating Boulangerie cruises across London but you can find them in Little Venice until the end of May.

 Rembrandt Garden, Little Venice

Raspberry white chocolate cookie: Eat ‘n’ Mess

A soft, chewy cookie with freeze-dried raspberries, white chocolate chips and a folding of cream cheese, it’s sweet and tangy in equal measure.

Broadway Market. Saturdays only.

salted caramel cupcake - lily vanilly london

Salted caramel cupcake: The Lily Vanilli Bakery

Dark chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream – light as a feather, creamy and so fluffy – a drizzle of salted caramel sauce and caramel-coated popcorn on top.

18 Ezra St, London E2 7RH

Brioche con gelato: Duci

A lightly toasted, super fluffy brioche bun sliced in half with Sicilian almond gelato – nutty, super sweet, like marzipan in ice cream form – and a scoop of ricotta sour cherry.

8 Devonshire Rd, London W4 2HD

Tiramisu cake: Signorelli Bakery

Vanilla sponge with Signorelli’s signature coffee brew, the most wonderful mascarpone frosting – thick, creamy, tangy and just a tad sweet – plus a dusting of cocoa powder on top.

7 Victory Parade, London E20 1FS or 15 Endeavour Square, London E20 1J
