New York Desserts - A Hotspot Hunter guide highlighting the best picks on the menu
For the curious sweet tooth, traveller and big city lover...

I am so excited to share what I have been working on for so long — I have written a BOOK! New York Desserts: a Hotspot Hunter guide highlighting the best picks on the menu.

The birthplace of Dominique Ansel’s trademarked Cronut, the very first cookie dough shop, the world’s biggest unicorn cannoli, the incredibly inventive flavour of Cereal Milk and Levain’s crunchy-and-gooey cookies that London bakers try so hard to replicate, New York is the epicentre of desserts and I have been lucky enough to work, live — and eat — in the city of sweet tooth dreams.

The idea of this book started in my tiny, shoebox of a New York apartment (without a window shall I add). Working as an editor at the time, I spent my weekends ticking off all the restaurants, cafés, bakeries and tucked-away dessert shops (or as I like to call them, Hotspots), quickly realising it’s not only important where to go but what to order. I would order one dessert and be completely swept off my feet, while other times, at the exact same place, my taste buds were underwhelmed and disappointed — the latter is not the experience I want people to have. It became my mission to work my way through the menus so I could arm first-time visitors and even born-and-bred New Yorkers with the very best picks at each place.

I know we’re spending a lot of time at home right now but I hope this book makes you hungry for dessert, travel and life in general. It’s packed with beautiful photos, insider knowledge and 70 wonderful Hotspots who need our support now more than ever – it’s available on Amazon worldwide and orders can be made via this link here.

Before I go, I wanted to say a big thank you. Thank you for all the times you have liked, commented and engaged on my Instagram posts. Thank you for the sweet messages after reading my guides. None of this would have been possible without YOU — it’s you whom I have kept in mind while writing each page and I honestly can’t wait to hear what you think.

Lots of love,

Siobhan
