The Doughnut Project

The Doughnut Project has the most creative donuts in New York City, combining both sweet and savory in their donut flavors. The everything donut – inspired by the everything bagel – has a sweet cream cheese glaze topped with sesame seeds, poppy, pepita, garlic and sea salt. The bacon donut comes with a sweet maple glaze and a big slice of crispy bacon, making it the perfect breakfast donut. The beet donut is filled with ricotta whip, and the peanut butter 2.0 has a blackberry glaze on top, replacing the traditional strawberry jam.

Summer donuts
The Doughnut Project recently launched the fronut, frozen donuts served fresh from the freezer. The donuts are filled with ice cream, in the flavors blueberry beet with yogurt, orange creamsicle, cococnut chamomile and cold brew. My favorite is the cold brew fronut that gives me a little caffeine kick while enjoying ice cream and a donut all at once.

Come hungry
With donuts this big you will have to bring a big appetite, and some napkins to handle the filled-donuts at The Doughnut Project. This place really brings the donut game to a whole new level with their interesting flavors, making them one of the best donuts in NYC.
